I have been beating my daily Camp NaNoWriMo word goal every day, but I completely forgot to blog this last week. Oh how the turns have tabled.
I wanted to be consistent in both things, but I think I have to take a half-win over a total loss. That’s fine. I’m well over where I need to be so far and I’m really enjoying the story.
At day 10, I’ve done mostly drafting, but I think this is a good place to take some time this afternoon and smooth out some of the rough edges. There are character and story ideas I’ve already adjusted as we move along and, in case I hit a downturn near the end of the month, I want to make sure I edit as I go.
Not instead of getting the words in, though. That’s why I do that first thing each day.
I have a couple other writing commitments this month that I’m not being as consistent on, but I’m working to change that. If I can’t get a new “Letters from Camp!” post up daily, I’ll at least try to answer one of the WordPress prompts.
Are you camping this month – by writing or actual camping? Let me know. I’ve never actually gone camping. I think I’d be extremely bad at it.
